Green Procurement Operational Guidelines
Introduction
We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your great support and cooperation in our procurement and production activities. We would like to ask our suppliers for their understanding and cooperation with the following measures.
Aiming to reduce the environmental impact of our products and services
Our company actively promotes green purchasing by prioritizing the procurement of environmentally friendly products and engaging with suppliers committed to environmental sustainability. This initiative aims to reduce the environmental impact associated with product manufacturing, usage, disposal, and distribution to various companies.
Details of Implementation
In our purchasing activities, we will make a comprehensive judgment by considering greenness in addition to conventional quality, price, delivery time, etc. The greenness evaluation is based on the following two items.

Environmental characteristics of the product itself
For example, in the case of automotive oil products, the product must meet the environmental and fuel efficiency standards of the “API Standards” and “ILSAC Standards,” which are engine oil standards established by the API (American Petroleum Institute), and must have acquired the latest grade.
In the case of ethanol raw materials, the products must be free of environmentally hazardous substances, as evidenced by a certificate of component analysis by a third-party organization, and in the case of consumables, the products must be manufactured in consideration of reducing environmental impact and the products themselves must have a long service life.

Suppliers' “Environmental Initiatives”
Supplier's “environmental efforts” must be clear.
Requests to suppliers
Based on the above principles, we have established the "Yuken Chemical Co., Ltd. Procurement Guidelines." To make comprehensive decisions that consider environmental sustainability, we may request suppliers to provide product specifications, analysis result certificates, safety data sheets, and environmental policies as necessary. We kindly ask our suppliers to understand the purpose and content of these guidelines and to work together with us in implementing initiatives in accordance with them.
